Ascent Trip ReportClimbed on a cool but beautiful May Day, the first weekend the Gale River Road was open for the season. Laura, CJ and I left the ski Haus and hit the trail about 11AM. After about 2.5 hours of a steady gradual climb the climb steepened and we hit a bit of leftover snow/monorail. This last part was a bit treacherous, especially on the way down. When we reached the summit we climbed into the foundation of the fire tower (all that was left) to block ourselves from the wind and enjoyed a snack and a quick rest before the climb down. Crystal clear day with great views from the summit in all directions. All in all a very easy hike for a 4000 footer.
