Ascent Trip ReportI followed Eric Kassan's TR here on Peadbagger, only I drove the road that he hiked. The road wasn't bad. I found a road register placed by the property owners near the turn off and I signed in. I drove to where there is an open gate that is posted as private property. I parked in the wash just if front of the gate. I hiked up the wash because it seemed less brushy that the banks of the wash. I followed cow trails up about .3 mile and then took a left fork. I stayed in this wash about another .3 mile until it was completely blocked with brush. I back tracked about .1 mile to where I could get out of the wash on the north side and get through the brush.
Once out of the wash, my objective was to avoid as much brush as possible. I found the top of the broad ridge to be less brushy than the gullies, so I tried to stay near the top of that slope. There was still brush and overall my route probably had about 25% bushwhack. There were patches of snow in places, but overall it was a good hike. The brush was more an annoyance than an obstacle.
