Ascent Trip ReportLeft the Beaver Brook Wayside parking at 7am, followed the Heritage Ski Trail into campsite # 3. Quick easy .9 to Gale River Trail. Up to the Hut in 2.5 hrs, wasted about 45 minutes taking pictures, summiting Galehead and eating before heading back down Frost Trail, at the Garfield Ridge Trail I decided to go for it. Headed across the ridge, 9 PUD's! Visited the Garfield Ridge Campsite. Love the new lean-to, took pics, ate some more. On the summit of Garfield at 12:30pm. Lots of pictures and sitting in the SUN on this Winter hike. Then down to the car by 3:20pm. Great day out with Kali, relaxing stops in the sun but a good pace alltogether. Started on bareboots, went to spike, snowshoes by 3 miles in, all the way across the ridge until about 2.5 miles from Garfield Trailhead where it turned to slush and I was wading through it in snowshoes.
