| Date: | Thursday, February 2, 2012 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | Peak: | Mount Hancock-West Peak | Location: | USA-New Hampshire | Elevation: | 3331 ft / 1015 m |
Ascent Trip Reportaka Mt. Hitchcock East Peak, and other various combinations of off color names due to its stout off trail reputation.
Quick bare booting of the first 2.5 miles up the packed out highway to hell, then a switch to Tubbs. Dust on crust and benign woods equals easy bushwhack to the 36"+- summit snowpack Cha-Ching. At times crossed or following some 2 week old barely discernible snowshoe tracks, pleasant low to mid 20 degrees all morning.
On this route it was all Hitch and no Bitch.
