Ascent Trip ReportI used Eric Kassan's TR to get tot he top of Peacock. I have just a few additions to his directions. The airport road is about 5 miles east of Kingman on Hwy 66 (Andy Devine). There is a signal at this intersection, turn towards the airport and zero your odometer. At 0.3 go straight at a stop sign and then at 0.5 turn left on Shipping Lane. At 1.5 miles pavement ends at a Redi Mix Plant, stay on the main road until mile 4.5 and turn right on signed Jan Dr. The first part of Jan Drive is not very good and there is a broken cattle guard to cross that could be a problem for low clearance. Stay on Jan Dr until mile 11.2 where it ends at a T. Turn right on signed Hensz Wy and follow it all the way until it ends at about 4,800 ft. The end of the road is just northwest of point 4928. I hiked up and over 4928 and then I was on the ridge to the summit. The ridge has several rocky bumps that you have to go around or over. I found a faint climbers trail that helped most of the up until I was about 300 ft vertically below the summit. There was a little scrambling up this last part, but it wasn't technical and added to the fun. There are 2 small false summits before getting to the top. Great views from the top of Kingman and Hualapai. Hualapai had snow on its north side down to about 6,000 ft.
