There is an exit for this highway on the Foothill Freeway, no. 210. Drive route 2 for 13.5 miles to Red Box Gap and Station and turn right toward Mt. Wilson. Follow this winding paved road for 2.3 miles to Eaton Saddle and a large parking area on both sides of the road. Park here and go east past the gate onto the Old Mt. Wilson Road. The road goes through Meuller Tunnel and on to a saddle. From here turn left onto a trail marked with a sign toward Mt. Lowe.
