Ascent Trip Report

I approached doe Peak from the Mt Ashland Road. Take the Mt Ashland exit from I-5 and start up the road towards Mt Ashland. A couple miles up the road is a turn-off on your left for Colestin. Zero your odometer and take his turn-off. Go 2.4 miles and turn right on FR 40S06. At 0.9 miles go straight at the Penny Pines area, at 5.3 miles take the left fork, at 7.9 miles pass FR 40S02 on the right. At 10.3 miles reach Four Corners and take a left. At 15.6 miles reach an intersection where I went straight for a hundred feet and then took a left on FR 40S10B. This road goes directly at Doe Peak. At 16.0 miles go over a saddle and at 16.6 miles I parked at about 5,000 ft elevation. The road continues another 0.2 mile but it was snow covered.

I hiked up the road until it turned right and then I just hiked up the slope to the summit. No views because of the forest.
