Ascent Trip Report

I approached Green Peak from Hwy 99 West north of Monroe. Turn west on Dawson Road, go straight through Bellfountain, and arrive in Dawson, zero your odometer. Dawson is a mill town like Noti and Vaughn. Drive straight through Dawson avoiding the heavy equipment and at 0.3 miles, past the last building, take the right fork. At 2.1 miles take the right fork and at 2.3 miles stop at a locked gate on the right.

I hiked up the road behind the locked gate on a beautiful freshly graded road. When I rached about 1,900 ft of elevation, I took the left fork, continued up to the next fork in the road, take the left fork again and then in about 100 yards take the road to the right. This road is not freshly graded. I followed this road up to its end west of the summit. Then follow the abandoned brushy road up the ridgeline to the summit. On the summit there is some debris from a building that was there at one time. No views because of the forest.
