Ascent Trip Report

Woke up in my motel in Loma Linda at 4:30 AM and drove in the dark on windy CA 243 towards Idylwild. Parked at the Marion Mountian traihead and started hiking at 6:10 AM. Made good time in the cool morning and reached the summit at 9:45 AM, one of the first to arrive. I spent 50 minutes on top, soaking up the views and chatting with other hikers. Then I hiked down to the Jacinto-Jean col and struck off towards Jean Peak.
