Ascent Trip Report

Left Fall River MA at 2am. Was at the Berlin Fish Hatchery by 730, and the gate was just being opened. Also saw a large bull moose driving into the hatchery. Huge animal, haven't seen one in a while.

Started hiking up the York Pond Tr at 8:00am, then on to the Bunnell Notch Tr up to the Kilkenney Ridge Tr to the summit. Made it to the summit by 10:08am. Almost thought the cabin was the summit before realizing my altimeter was reading about 100' below the actual height. Went on to the true summit then doubled back down to the trailhead. Finished by 11:55am. Great hike, just a little snow at the top and pretty warm out on the way down.
