Ascent Trip ReportI did not get close to the summit on this hike because I was tired and had no energy. I drove to the trailhead from Pahrump after dark and car camped there. The trailhead is located across a mud flat with a maze of roads. Finding the correct trailhead in the dark was an adventure. The next morning I started hiking southeast across the desert towards the peak. The further I hiked, the more I realized how tired I felt. When I reached the steep slope of the peak, I started to climb, but my heart was not in it. I climbed up a couple hundred feet and then turned around and headed back to my truck. I took the afternoon off, checked into a room at Buffalo Bills in Primm, had a nice shower, and ate dinner... twice. I guess I was hungry. I will have to return and get this peak at another time.
