Ascent Trip Report

Absolutely stunning day. We got an early start on a crips clear morning. We started walking up the trail at twilight. We missed the exit point from the main trail near Source Lake and needed to descend on a boulder field to continue the traverse to then ascend to Pinapple Pass. The climb was a nice 5.4 - somewhat breezy which cooled things down a bit. We use twin lines which caused us some trouble on the descent. I also attempted a 'novel' exit across the Source Lake Basin which got me hung up on horizontally growing alder. It was a lot of work getting back to the trail - but my efforts lightened the moods of my climbing partners.
