Ascent Trip Report

This is a nice hike from the Charcoal Kilns in Death Valley National Park. There is an outhouse and plenty of parking at this popular trailhead. The trail is nicely maintained and easy to follow. It is a popular hike and there are usually other hikers on the trail. I hiked late in the afternoon and most of the visitors had already left. Great views from the summit, but there was a cold wind blowing that made me put on my windbreaker and gloves. Two beautiful ladies on the summit were struggling to stay warm wearing short shorts.
