Ascent Trip ReportA day walk whilst staying in the attractive village of Skradin near the waterfalls and gorges of the Krka national park. Drove to the trailhead at Glavas, parking by the blue climbing club cabin. Three dogs were there to greet me, two which accompanied me as far as the ruined fort on the Dinara trail - wonder if they were Rickard Colliander's Zadar and Pisak (see his Dinara trip report)? The route to the summit is a varied and pleasant one, going through miniature oak woods, limestone pavements, a scree zigzag, across high pastures, along the rim of a meteorite crater and along the summit ridge to the trig point and summit cross. There are a lot of rocks and broken ground, so it is difficult to walk with any rhythm, and you need to allow more time than you might expect: the return trip took me about seven hours.
