Ascent Trip ReportFirebreak Peak requires a long drive and little or no hiking. From Hwy 6 near Wilson Summit, turn onto the signed Rogers Camp/Browns Camp road, zero your odometer and turn right at the intersection. At 0.7 go right, at 1.2 go left, and at 1.3 turn right. At 2.4 go right, at 3.4 go straight onto Beaver Dam Road. At 7.5 turn right and then go straight, at 9.5 pass a big borrow pit where I car camped, at 9.7 turn right, and at 10.7 take the right fork. At 11.0 turn left and at 11.5 turn right onto OHV Rd #17 7-up. You could park here, but I 4WD drove .2 up to the summit where there is a 5 way intersection. I parked looked around for the high point and got back into the truck before I got too wet from the rain. No views because of the forest. There are other roads that can be used to access the summit. On the way in I passed close to the Washington County High Point of Saddle Mountain.
