Ascent Trip Report

My wife, Geri, and I did the Moores Knob Loop Trail which is a nice way to climb this peak without having to repeat a path already hiked. The summit tower allows a great 360 degree vista of the surrounding area and there is a benchmark located north of the tower. We hiked the trail after some wet weather and the forest was filled with many species of interesting fungi. Some were very colorful.
