Ascent Trip ReportTodd Boylan and I hiked to East Osceola and Mt Osceola on 9/17/2011. Last year, I hiked from Toripoli Rd. So this year, I wanted to hike from Kanc by using Greeley Pond Trail. We mistakenly used Greeley Pond Ski Trail to reach Osceola Trail. Ski Trail is very muddy. We reached to East Osceola within 2 hours or so and reached to Osceola summit leadges around 11:20am since we started to hike at 9:15am. We saw only one hiker at the summit of Mt Osceola when we reached over there. While we were eating lunch and relaxed 30min, I ended up seeing 20-30 hikers at the ledges. Very popular mountains! On the way back to the parking lot, we decided to extend hike 0.6 miles RT to see Greeley Pond. It was pretty pond and we saw beautiful scenary.
