Ascent Trip ReportDean and I approached Cape Horn Mtn from Hwy 75. About 21 miles west of Stanley turn right on the signed gravel road to Boundary Creek. Go 3.1 miles and stop at the Cape Horn Summit and park on the left side of the road in one of the parking areas.
The trail starts on the north side of the road and is easy to follow. Once you pass the not obvious turn off for the Lola Lakes to the east, then the trail is just a climbers trail but the route is obvious without and technical difficulties all the way to the summit. Nice views once you reach the ridgeline and from the summit. There were still patches of snow along the route in the middle of August.
