Ascent Trip Report8 People (Ken, Todd, Lynne, Nick, Edzo, Sharon, Mark and me) met at Appalachia TH between Jefferson and Gorham in NH around 5:30AM and we started to hike at 5:52AM by using Valley Way to reach Madison Hut first. This hike is 1 day Presidential Traverse to cover 7 AMC official > 4K Peaks + Clay and Flanklin. But there were 2 slow hikers which delayed our hike largely. Although we're planning to reach to Mt Washington summit around noon time, we reached there after 2pm. Before this point, 2 people decided not to reach every single summit point and those 2 only aimed to Mt Washington summit. At M W summit, another 2 hikers decided to bail out from Ammo ravine trail. So 8 hikers went down to 4. Then, we met 2 friend hikers + 2 dogs at Mt W summit. They joined us to peakbag the rest of South Presi Range (Monroe, Eisenhower and Pierce). We had heavy rain when we reached to Monroe summit. From there, thunders started and we had to escape from it at the 3 locations for a while during hike which we wasted another 40min. We finally hiked out to AMC Highland Center at 7:20pm or so safely after sumitt-ing to Eisenhower and Pierce.
