Ascent Trip Report

One of a pair of Kent Marilyns (P150m hills) ascended at dawn prior to a Dover to Calais ferry trip. Both flat-topped hills with a trig point not on the summit and the true top a matter of opinion.

Part of Kent County Council’s landscaped White Horse Wood Country Park with good views from the trig point / viewfinder area over the locality, including the Eurostar rail track with its speeding trains to the south. We criss-crossed the area to visit all possible significant high points. Approached by car from the south which is quieter but it's much easier to enter the country park directly from the A249.
