Ascent Trip Report

Head west on Hwy 96 from I-5 about 20 miles to where the signed FR 12 road goes right. Zero your odometer and go 1.2 miles, turn right on 46N42, at 2.6 miles turn left on 40S01, at 6.9 stay left, at 7.3 take the right fork towards Deer Camp, at 7.7 go left staying on 40S01, at 11.7 go straight, at 12.7 go left then at 12.8 go right, at 12.9 there is a big meadow on the right, at 14.0 go left, at 15.2 go left, at 17.4 take the left fork on 47N81, at 17.7 go left, and 17.9 the Alex Hole overlook is on the left, and at 18.4 park at 6,790 ft.

It is an easy hike in open terrain to the summit. Nice views.
