Ascent Trip Report

today was a adventure, me and my cousin alex set off for north and south hancock. two 4,000 footers, my cousin alex had no idea what he was getting into. he'd never done a 4,000 footer before and i wanted to see what he could do to tear up the mtn. we did good we started around 1:30 pm and finished around 6:00 so it wasnt bad around 4:30 RT for a 9.8 mile hike 6 Hr estimate. we made it to the top, great views, 180 degree views. two great 4,000 footers. i would recomend this to middle hikers for average hikers i would say that this hike would not be for beginers, i know my cousin is a beginer but i knew he could do it, we took it easy and he is a good hiker. but it is a good hike, pretty long so take water and plan ahead for gas because route 112 doesnt provide gas for 23 miles so just be careful and take it easy out there.
