Ascent Trip ReportCasual climb, 6 hours roundtrip for this 10+ mile climb. Started late at around 1245. Met many overnight climbers. Trail itself was 95% in the woods, not much for water bodies, an area of windblown forest near the top. Beautiful day but windy. Cold at the top. Stunning views of the backside of Lafayette; could see Cannon tower and I believe the summit of Washington the other way. Beautiful. Knees were bothersome on the way down. Really painful. Getting used to the climbing poles - they were helpful.
