Ascent Trip Report

A short trail walk from a private residence ...... .6 miles, 25 minute RT.

We followed Gary Fallesen's guide book. From North Creek Road (mailbox #3755) we drove north on the driveway, .8 miles to the ridge with the Erikkla property (south of the summit)...... the barn on the left (north) and the house on the right. Permission was granted at the house by Mr Erikkla.
We parked in front of the barn, I found the wide mowed path behind the barn (at the red shed) and followed it north as it wound its way (up the ridge) in the tall grass field about 400 yards to the woods, where a trail continues another 100+ yards in beautiful open maple woods to the summit.

I walked the obvious 40 yard long summit ridge, found the register (an orange plastic box) on the ground and chose my high ground at GPS 43.07336, 77.20023. I signed the very-wet register, the first to do so in 2011, the last to sign-in was in 20010 (forgot to get the name).

I also would like to thank the Erkkilas for allowing us on their property and for mowing the hiking path. They make it too easy.
