Ascent Trip ReportSigned trailhead located off the Alta Lake road near Whistler. Trail begins on the SW side of Twentyone Mile Creek and reaches Rainy Lake in approximately 5 miles. There are a couple of junctions but all are clearly signed. From the lake make a steadily rising contour around the SW shoulder of the mountain and follow the relatively low angle wide gully on the west side of the mountain staying right of the rock tower as you approach the top of the slope at ~6800-7000 feet. Gain the small icefield south of the summit and stay right of the rock formation with the enormous moat. Head up to the saddle on the summit ridge just beyond and then scramble(Class 2) left/west past several false summits to the top.
Best done in spring/early summer when snow covers the route above the lake but has melted off the trail.
