Ascent Trip ReportThis was the first summit I have ever pedaled up. My wife, Geri, and I were on a long 2000+ mile bicycle tour from our home in Higginsville, Missouri to southern Mississippi where we followed the Natchez Trace Parkway north to Nashville before pedaling back home. During this trip we completed our multiyear goal of bicycling to every state park in Missouri, including Taum Sauk Mountain State Park. Naturally, we pedaled our tandem bicycle to the 1772-foot summit. The ride (coast) back to our camp nearly 20 miles away was great fun!
