Ascent Trip Report

McKinley Mountain was the second peak named for McKinley that I have climbed. The easiest way to get to McKinley Mountain is from Yreka or Hawkinsville and go by Gunsight Peak on the way to McKinley. I parked on the south side of the peak and hiked an old road cut up to the the summit ridge and then it was a short easy hike over to the summit. Some nice views from the summit.
