Ascent Trip ReportSuperb little peak above the coast north of Malibu.
From the parking one can already see three steep rocky peaks, sadly I only had time to climb the first (and highest) before my flight home. Nevertheless a supreb little viewpoint with slopes falling steeply towards the Pacific Ocean on one side and views of Mt Baldy (San Antonio) on the other.
The trail is so easy to follow that it needs no description. Fortunately it is shaded in parts, it was very hot in the late afternoon when I was there. At the highest point of the trail cut left up the obvious steep slope with mild scrambling to the top. The trail continues along the ridge to the other fine looking peaks which I will explore one day next time I have a few hours to kill around a flight from LAX.
