Ascent Trip Report

I approached Badger Mtn from Yreka. At the north exit from I-5, on the west side of the freeway, Hwy 3 goes south and Hwy 263 goes north. From this intersection go north on Hwy 263 and in a couple miles come to the signed Humbug/Hawkinsville Rd and turn left, zero your odometer. At 0.8 go straight, at 1.3 the pavement ends, at 2.2 take the right fork, at 3.1 turn right and then take the right fork. At 5.3 take the right fork signed 46N16A, at 6.0 take a left turn onto a lesser road (or park here and hike to the summit). I only drove about .1 mile on this last road adn then parked at about 5,000 ft and walked over to the high point. Some good views from the summit including Mt Shasta.
