Ascent of Tekoa Mountain on 2007-09-29
|Date:||Saturday, September 29, 2007|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Motorized Transport to Trailhead:||4x4 Vehicle|
| Elevation:||4009 ft / 1221 m|
Ascent Trip ReportTake the obvious road from the south up to the summit and go with the left fork at the split halfway up the route. No signage and no property issues. However, this road is rough especially in the middle third of the three miles. If really determined, a person could make it up in a passenger car, but you would definitely be scraping the "road" along the way. Take your high clearance vehicle and/or be prepared to try to park somewhere and walk the open grassy slopes. I made it just fine with 2WD.
