Ascent Trip ReportBeautiful day above treeline - sunny and clear skies, little wind and not too cold. What a day to play in the Presis! Saw just a few people all day - a couple who turned back on Clay, a women doing a Presi Traverse (for the 24th consecutive month) and hut caretaker from the RMC. Otherwise, we had the Presis to ourselves. Not too much snow - started in snowshoes and changed to microspikes. Got Jefferson, Washington and Monroe. Washington summit winds were gusting in the 50s. By Monroe the wind was fierce and freezing cold! But the whole day was just spectacular.
