Ascent Trip Report

With Edward Earl. Day started rainy with low clouds. We hiked SW up a canyon then to the ridge. Started up the class 2/3 rock below the summit and just as we neared the top, lightning! We tagged and ran our asses back down into the trees.

Started to snow as we descended. Got back to my truck, then somehow, slowly, laboriously, drove my truck down the incredibly slick road back to pavement. At times I would drive partially on the berm to get traction, leaning severely as I drove along. The drive out was more epic than the hike. Certainly got a lot of excitement!

Suggestion: visit this peak on a clear day.
