Hike Description: Both peaks are just under 3,000 feet with Mount Welch at 2,605' and Dickey at 2,734'. This is a moderate half-day loop hike with stunning views along some beautiful ledges and granite faces.

The hike begins with a forested section of trail that opens out onto bare open exposed ledges with excellent views of the surrounding mountains and looking east to the Sandwich range.

From here, we will continue up some rock scrambles and granite faces to summit Welch. From the summit of Welch we will have 360 views of many peaks and ranges, including Moosilauke and The Tripyramids. If you look north from here, you can see Franconia Notch. To the South, you should be able to see Winnepesaukee.

After a brief break on the Summit, we will head down the backside of Welch along a somewhat narrow and steep goat-path into the col and pass by a large Cairn, then head back into the woods for a short bit, and ascend to the summit of Mount Dickey where we will have some magnificent ledge walking that will take your breath away.
