Ascent Trip ReportLeft N Elbert Trail parking lot in a drizzle. Hiked for 2.5 hrs to near treeline (approx 12,000feet) Set up tent and spent the night trying to acclamate. The altitude had its effect on me. Awoke at around 5 am to a clear sky(on and off drizzle most of the night) and decide to get on the trail. By time packed and had coffee it was raining again. Cleared the trees and snow was blowing accross the ridge I was on. Sky intermitinly cleared. Pushed on above a knob the trail contours up and around. Above here (approx 14,000 feet) it was a white out and strong winds. I could breathe better but the altitude was still something to deal with I was moving very slow by now and took a long time to push myself up the ridge. With weather iffy, me iffy and energy seriously waining I turned around and headed down hill.Guessed about 200 feet below summit, vis about 15-20 feet.
