Ascent Trip Report

Parked at the trailhead at Denning and signed in on the register. Pet on snowshoes and headed up the PE, which was broken by bare boot prints as far as the Neversink. Broke trail the rest of the way to the CO, which had been broken by a couple heading up Slide. Caught up to them and switched off breaking trail as far as the SCW, which was very broken out as usual. 21° with no visibility at the peak (the trailside bump which had been trackless) and view ledges. Zoomed back down the SCW toward the Slide trailhead to the PE and back by dark. On returning to the trailhead I discovered a ranger had replaced the trail register and put my name in first on the first new page.
