Ascent Trip Reportw Monica and the randomites. Another great day - everyone in the group went hiking today and made easy work of the highest peak in the Catskills (Slide @ 4,190 feet). It was my first full hike since early July and it felt good to be out on the trails again - would like to thank the rest of the group for taking it easy on an old man with a medical boot on one foot. While Monica and I called it a day after one peak the rest of the group went on to claim two more of the Catskill's high peaks. A warm fire on a cool night, corn-on-the cob and s'mores was a nice way to end the day.
