| Date: | Monday, July 25, 1994 | Ascent Type: | Unsuccessful - Turned Back | Motorized Transport to Trailhead: | Car | Peak: | Mount Siyeh | Location: | USA-Montana | Elevation: | 6120 ft / 1865 m |
Ascent Trip ReportThis was a quixotic attempt on Mt. Siyeh, a 10,000 foot monster of a peak in Glacier National Park. For some dumb reason, I thought I could start at 2 PM, after already hiking Mount Oberlin that day, and bag this huge and challenging mountain solo. After a short hike on the approach trail I came to my senses and turned back. It was hot and sunny, but clouds were building, and I realized this peak really needed a full day.
