Ascent of Peak 3720 on 2010-11-17
|Date:||Wednesday, November 17, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3720 ft / 1133 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Peak 3740 fro West Evans Creek Rd and Dutch Creek Road. I drove up to the Dutch Creek Summit and turned right on a minor logging road that was kind of muddy and I needed 4WD and high clearance to get up to the north ridge of Peak 3740. At the ridge I turned right toward the peak and drove a little ways until the road deteriorated further. I parked and hiked up the road towards Peak 3740. When the road took a little bend to the left, I went straight up the ridgeline. There is no trail or road here, it is kind of a bushwhack. The first part is kind of steep and there is lots of down brush from a thinning project several years ago. Lots of stuff to step over on the way to the summit. No views because of the brush and trees.
