Ascent Type:Successful Summit Attained
Peak:Bland Mountain
    Location:USA-Oregon
    Elevation:2696 ft / 821 m

Ascent Trip Report

I accessed Bland Mountain from Hwy 227 in Days Creek. From Days Creek Hwy 227 goes around the south side of Bland Mountain and Days Creek Road goes around the north side. I went north for about 2 miles and then turned right up BLM road 30-4-10. I drove up 2.3 miles on this good gravel road until I reached a recent clear cut area on the east side of Bland Mtn and here a small steep dirt road branched right. I followed the dirt road about .25 mile to the top of the ridge and parked. I could see a closed gate ahead, so I hiked from here. Nice views on the hike up. The fire lookout is not on the high point of the mountain. The highpoint is about 300 yds west of the fire lookout and is about 15 ft higher than the fire lookout.
