Peak:Spignet Butte
    Location:USA-Oregon
    Elevation:4037 ft / 1230 m

Ascent Trip Report

I approached Spignet Butte from West Evans Creek Road, turned right on the first road just after the bridge that crosses Salt Creek, and drove up to a saddle north of Spignet Butte. At the saddle I turned right towards the peak and continued straight when the main road forked right in about 100 ft. I followed this road about .6 mile to a closed locked gate and parked. I hiked up the road about .5 mile to the base of Spignet Butte where the road forked. The left fork is a grass covered never used road seemed to go up, so I followed it up. It climbed to the summit but not before doing a complete spiral around the mountain. The summit is logged off and there are good views.
