Ascent of Allegheny County High Point #2 on 2010-10-17| Date: | Sunday, October 17, 2010 | | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | | Peak: | Allegheny County High Point #2 | | Location: | USA-Pennsylvania | | Elevation: | 1401 ft / 427 m |
Ascent Trip ReportThis second high point for Allegheny County is listed in the County High Pointers Organization data base that also includes 5 trip reports with directions which is how I found it. I did the first high point the day before. For what it's worth my GPS altimeter reading for the spot near Sardis Pa. in the Northeast corner of Allegheny County was four feet higher than this one, so I suspect that's the true high point but a four foot difference is probably within the range of error of a GPS altimeter.
Nice fall leaves with a view although the view will probably be better once the leaves have fallen.
