Ascent Trip Report

45' degrees at trailhead and 35' just before the summit. 50mph winds on ridge from Haystack Mountain to Lincoln. Wind chill made it cold but had good layers and we were ok.... couldn't say that for some of the hoards of people we saw. must have hiked past 100 hikers this day. Crazy crowds for Columbus Day Holiday. Hike with my brother and a friend and his daughter. 7.9M trip up Falling Waters and back. Would have done the loop but weather was too nasty for friends and we made the summit and came back down with them. Cloud ceiling lifted at 12pm and allowed us nice view into Vermont.
