Ascent Trip Report

Not much to say on this. Great trail for 2000 feet. Then sucky bootpath for 500 feet as it is steep. Then decent bootpath to the false summit. From there it slows down a lot as there is a bit of brush and bootpath finding and up and down and wet brush. Not really a bushwhack but thankfully the sucktacular weather made for wet brush to help give me that soaking wet bushwhack feel. Lots of boulders and this was slower in the rain. The sign at the trailhead shows a trail all the way to the true summit which is pretty generous. The trail is a cupcake to follow up to the false summit in spite of the steep section but from there it gets fairly faint. I stayed on the N side closest to the false summit and then was usually on the S side after that. The bootpath braids in spots. Obvious summit with cairn. This was a sucky day to be in the mtns but I appreciated the short drive and to finally get this one off of my back. Why does it rain every weekend this year?
