Ascent Trip ReportFinding Tea Table Mtn in this forest is the crux of this climb. You can get to the area by taking either FR 94 or FR 86 from hwy 97. Locate FR 8821 and then FR 8829 to get to the north side of Tea Table Mtn. There are lots of roads in the area that are not marked on my maps and I made several wrong turns before finding my way up the steep road that goes up to the summit plateau of Tea Table Mtn. They are doing lots of logging and thinning of the forest in the area and new roads have been added. If you are lucky enough to find the road to the summit, it ends in a recently logged area that has a huge pile of logging debris in the center. I parked and hiked out through the forest to the point labelled 5750 on the topo. This is not the high point. Hike south along the ridge about 500 ft to a point that is at least 10 ft higher. No real views because of the forest.
