Ascent of Peak 5882 on 2010-08-27
|Date:||Friday, August 27, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||5882 ft / 1792 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI drove down to Bull Gap from the Mt Ashland Road. This road is Tolman Creek Road up from the City of Ashland. At Bull Gap I parked and hiked up an old roadbed that has been converted into a jogging/mountain bike trail that goes north towards Peak 5582. This is a good trail and about 100 yards to the west of of the summit the trail dives down to the north. At this point I took a lesser unused trail to the right and hiked up to the ridge. At the ridgeline I turned right again and walked through the short brush to the rocky summit. No views because of the forest.
