Ascent Trip ReportStarted out where FS2401 was impassable, about 10-15 min from Goober Pond. "Old FS Road" nearly impassable, so cut straight through forest in direction of scree field. Scree field only a little loose, quite a bit of vegetation. Climber's left side very dense. Next time need to head as high as possible then traverse to bottom of small snowfield in direction of the saddle. Small running water on right of gully up to saddle. Crossed stream short of headwall and continued on the right of stream. Followed path of least resistance up higher and higher. Visibility low (about 500 ft). Scrambled to the top, greeting mountain goat at less than 30 ft from summit (approached to within 15 ft, and revisited during lunch at summit). Followed same path out (generally).
