Ascent Trip ReportMy neice and I did a Giant / Rocky Peak Ridge traverse from Rte 73 East to Rte 9. The weather was nice at the start, but low clouds moved in and from the summit of Giant we saw nothing but white. Continuing over Rocky Peak Ridge the weather picked up with gusting winds up to maybe 30 MPH, no visibility, and droplets of water in the air. The 8 mile traverse from Giant was very challenging for me (not so much for my neice) and seemed to take forever, especially the last two miles from Blueberry Cobble down to the parking lot. This more than 5000 ft descent (?) was also felt in my knees. All in all a very good challenge.
