Ascent Trip Report

I parked at the viewpoint for the Pumice Desert in Crater Lake National Park. I hiked 1.5 mile across the Pumice Desert directly towards Desert Cone. The lodgepole pine forest extends down Desert Cone and a little ways into the Pumice Desert. It is easy hiking through the short forest and I climbed up to the south ridge of Desert Cone. I followed the ridge up to the highpoint where there were limited views because of the tree cover. I continued my hike by hiking down the north ridge of Desert Cone to Klamath Ridge and then on to Desert Ridge. All hiking stats are combined on the Desert Ridge TR.
