We will start at the Cog Railway parking lot. We will take the Jewell Trail to the Gulfside Trail to the Mount Jefferson Loop Trail. We will then turn around and re trace our steps back to the car.

Jewell Trail has a constant but seldom steep grade. There are some switchbacks above tree line. We will come out just below Mount Clay. We will then take a left on the Gulfside Trail and continue on towards Jefferson.
