Ascent of Peak 4380 on 2010-08-05
|Date:||Thursday, August 5, 2010|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4380 ft / 1335 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI accessed Peak 4380 from Hwy 62 and the paved Woodruff Bridge turnoff. This road turns into FR 68 and is gravel in a couple miles. There is a smaller lesser old logging road that turns off of FR 68 on the south side of Peak 4380. I drove this road along the east and north sides of Peak 4380 to where it ends just short of a saddle marked 4032 on the topo. This road is ok driving with 2WD but the brush is closing in across the road. From the end of the road I hiked up the steep northwest ridge to the high point. No views in the forest cover.
